weakened to my knees

yesterday, 2 exams. also, irish women emigrants prof making a total fool of herself; note to self, never ask international students questions beginning with "on the basis of being ____ (fill in nationality here), what do you think _____?" to quote lorna after class... "oh begorra, i'd love some tea and cabbage and bacon and then to go to the bog for some turf. what a horrible cunt."
today, i had a doctor's appointment to find out what i could and couldn't do with my arm in physical therapy for my hip (e.g. put weight on my hand, etc.). she was moving my shoulder around and it felt weird, like it was slipping, but she said not to worry about it, it was just inflammation.
two hours later, my shoulder dislocated when i was pulling my cardigan off. yea, you read that right. pulling my cardigan off. went to health services, nurse freaked out, director of health services looked at it, poked it once, said here's a sling and some ice, we're sending you to the ER. please don't pass out or vomit between now and then. oh, and sorry dr. costa didn't notice your shoulder's totally unstable. went to ER, got it relocated, got reaaaally drugged up. have to go to an orthopaedic surgeon next week to decide if i can strengthen the muscles around my shoulder enough to keep it relatively stable, or if my rotator cuff is too far gone to avoid surgery. spent 1.5 hours after being discharged sitting in the hospital lobby semi-comatose waiting for transport to come get me.
other than that, things are okay. my roommates (not direct) are making me totally insane, they're up yelling until 3-4 am every night and smoke enough pot to knock an elephant for a loop, but we're halfway through the semester and i'll have a single next semester.
i think i want to get my hair cut to chin length or a little longer... it's making me crazy because i'm not used to it being long and i want it to be nearer to all the same length- right now i have really weird layers because it hasn't been evened out since i started growing the pixie out. i'd rather cut 5 or 6" off, make it all the same length, then grow from there, i think. what do y'all think?
also, would it be super lame of me to be velma also? i know two of you (keavy and jenny) are both planning on it, but i was thinking about it before also and backed off after you said it... i could pull it off without much work, though, and i relish easy right now. plus it could be kind of cool to like... be bonded through it. 2 different states and another country. i want you two to meet, you'd love each other.
oh, and i got a new phone and lost my numbers, so give them to me, please.
